Man Killed in Hanover Crash: Dominican Republic National Killed in Hanover CrashA 30-year-old power plant operator from the Dominican Republic was killed in a motor vehicle collision in Lucea, Hanover, on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Carlos Baze, who had been working in Jamaica and was residing at Stonebrook Manor in Trelawny.
According to reports, shortly after midday, Baze was driving a Nissan AD Wagon from Montego Bay towards Lucea. Upon reaching the vicinity of the Ocean Point Housing Scheme intersection, he reportedly attempted to overtake a vehicle travelling ahead of him.
During the manoeuvre, he allegedly lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with a motor car travelling in the opposite direction.
Baze sustained severe injuries and was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
