Dear Mckoy: My son’s teacher and husband are having an affair – I’m not sure how I feel about this online school thing anymore because it has torn my home apart. When things were face to face, I was always the one to go to PTA conferences and deal with all school matters for my young son.
Since things went virtual, my husband has become more involved because he understands technology more. I was happy he was finally involved in school matters until o realized he was privately messaging the teacher, and it wasn’t anything about education.
These two people have been “getting to know each other” and exchanging pictures…she even says she’ll make sure my son passes all the classes as long as MY husband “deal with her good”. I haven’t told him that I know. They are making plans to meet and I wonder if I should pop up at the location too.
What do you think?
R.H.
Dear R.H.,
Confront your husband now before matters escalate. Your son needs stability so don’t drag this out more than it has to. After you confront him, you can decide whether you want to stay or leave.
