SAVANNAH, Georgia — A swingers’ encounter over Thanksgiving weekend turned deadly when a man was fatally shot during a threesome at an apartment, authorities say.
Alfonso Warner, 40, has been charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with the Nov. 29 shooting of 48-year-old Arthur Gaynor at a Savannah apartment complex.
Court testimony revealed that the woman involved met Warner on the swingers’ website SDC (Seek, Discover, Connect) and had been communicating with him prior to the rendezvous. She invited her boyfriend to join the encounter, and the trio met at Warner’s apartment around 1:30 a.m.
Investigators said the gathering was initially a party atmosphere with drinking, but tensions escalated when Gaynor reportedly felt disrespected and suggested leaving. As the couple began putting on their clothes, the woman told police, Warner emerged and shot Gaynor in the stomach, fatally wounding him.
The woman immediately called 911 and helped authorities identify Warner by logging into the swingers’ website where she first met him, providing pictures to law enforcement.
Warner was arrested on Dec. 4 at a Red Roof Inn in Bryan County, near Savannah. Police have not yet disclosed a motive for the shooting.
