Detectives attached to the Cambridge and Freeport police stations are presently at a scene in Montpelier, St James, where a dance hall entertainer was shot and killed, and another man shot and injured, on Thursday afternoon, January 20.
So far the deceased had been identified only as ‘Kapella Don’, also of a St James, address.
Reports are that about 4:30 pm, the entertainer was among a group of persons standing in the vicinity of a business establishment, along Miuntpellier main road, when they were ambushed by armed men who opened fire on them.
The artist and another man received multiple gunshot wounds, and he was killed on the spot.
The other injured victim was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
