With the May–June 2026 examination period approaching, the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) is reminding candidates across the region to balance effective study habits with proper self-care.
In a message directed to students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders, Registrar and Chief Executive Officer Wayne Wesley urged candidates to remain focused while preparing for their exams. He emphasized the importance of managing time efficiently and maintaining a healthy routine.
Students were also encouraged to pay attention to their mental well-being, including getting adequate rest and maintaining proper nutrition throughout the exam period.
CXC, which was established in 1972, serves as the region’s primary body for administering examinations designed to reflect the Caribbean’s educational standards and development goals. The council oversees several key assessments, including the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC), Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ), Caribbean Certificate of Secondary Level Competence (CCSLC), and the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA).
The council continues to encourage candidates to approach the upcoming examinations with confidence while maintaining a balanced approach to preparation and personal health.
