The boundaries of the curfew have been clearly defined:
- North: From the roundabout, travelling along Spanish Town Bypass about 600 metres to the intersection of Williams Street and Spanish Town Bypass.
- East: From the intersection of Williams Street and Spanish Town Bypass, travelling about 800 metres, to the intersection of Williams Street and French Street.
- South: From the intersection of French Street and Williams Street, travelling about 900 metres to the intersection of Oxford Road and Spanish Town Bypass.
- West: From the intersection of Oxford Road and Spanish Town Bypass, travelling about 500 metres to the roundabout.
Individuals within the curfew zone are required to remain within their premises unless they have been granted authorization by the commanding officer.
The imposition of the curfew follows the recent killing of an alleged gang leader in St. Andrew, which sparked widespread unrest in Spanish Town. Several businesses in the area remained closed on Thursday as a precautionary measure.
A heavy police presence remains in the area to maintain order and ensure public safety.
