St Ann, Jamaica — The police have imposed a curfew in sections of Parry Town, Ocho Rios, St Ann, following a gun attack on Saturday night that left two men dead and another injured.
Those killed have been identified as 56-year-old painter Paul Brooks, otherwise called ‘Matterhorn’, and 30-year-old warehouse assistant Lamar Lynch, otherwise called ‘Buju’, both of Grove Village, Parry Town, St Ann.
Reports are that about 10:35 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, the three men were in Parry Town when they were pounced upon by unknown assailant(s) and shot.
They were taken to hospital, where Brooks and Lynch were pronounced dead. The third man, a 45-year-old, remains hospitalized with gunshot injuries.
In response, a curfew was implemented starting at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, and is slated to end at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8.
The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

North: From the entrance of Parry Town to a section of the Gaza district.

East: Through the Gaza district to a road cordon.

South: From the endpoint of the road cordon to a section above Kellington.

West: From Kellington, leading onto Parry Town, to the entrance of Parry Town and the road cordon.
During the curfew, all persons are required to remain inside their homes unless otherwise authorized by the ground commander.
Police continue to urge anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
