Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Cornwall Courts Shooting: One man was shot to death and another, a mechanic, shot and injured during two separate shooting incidents which took place at the Cornwall Courts housing scheme on Saturday night, July 1.
The dead man has been identified as Anthony Mark Lowe, otherwise called ” Chad” 22-year-old laborer of Lot 287, Antigua Avenue.
The wounded mechanic has since been admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in stable condition.
Cornwall Courts Shooting: Reports by the Mount Salem and Freeport police are that about 9:15 pm on Saturday, the 35-year-old Mechanic drove home to his house at Lot 430, Bahamas Avenue in Cornwall Courts. He was in the process of opening his grill when he was pounced upon by one man armed with a handgun.
The victim turned and ran, the gunman gave chase and opened fire hitting him on his arm. He then managed to jump in his Nissan motor car and drove himself to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and admitted.
About 15 minutes later, gunshots were heard coming from another section of the area and Lowe was seen running through a dirt track onto Bahamas Avenue.
The wounded man collapsed and he too was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Mount Salem police were alerted to the scene and upon arrival, both scenes were processed. The investigators say they believe that the one gunman is behind both shooting incidents.
