Constable on Suspension Shot and Killed in Kingston             

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: A police Constable who was presently on Suspension but was now temporary employed as a security guard, was shot and killed by gunmen in Kingston on Tuesday morning, May 22.

The deceased has been identified as Constable Deron Henry, who was assigned to the Motorized Patrol Division.

Reports are that shortly after 3:25 a.m. on Tuesday, the Manager at the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston where Constable Henry was employed, saw a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the hotel parking lot and informed the officer.

Constable Henry approached the vehicle to investigate and immediately he was fired upon by armed men in the vehicle. The vehicle then sped away.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded officer was rushed to the University hospital where he was pronounced dead.
