County, Georgia – A 24-year-old Georgia woman has been sentenced to life in prison for the brutal murder of her 13-month-old daughter.
Chloe Driver was convicted of malice murder and cruelty to children in November 2023. On December 8, 2020, emergency services responded to a call about a deceased infant and an injured adult at a home in Canton, Georgia. Upon arrival, they found Driver and her daughter, Hannah, with serious injuries.
Tragically, Hannah succumbed to her injuries, while Driver was hospitalized. Following her release, she was arrested and charged with murder.
Prosecutors alleged that Driver, who was part of a cult, had stabbed her daughter multiple times, including a fatal wound to the neck.
During the sentencing hearing, Judge Ellen McElyea described the crime as a “heinous offense” and condemned Driver’s actions. The judge emphasized that a parent killing a child is a deeply disturbing and unacceptable act.
