A double murder in South Manchester during the early hours of Saturday is now being treated as a targeted attack, according to the police.
Carey Duncan, head of the Manchester Police, reported that the assailants removed the couple’s children from the house prior to carrying out the fatal assault, suggesting a level of planning behind the incident.
The victims have been identified as Kaydene Isaacs and Rohan Bernard, also known as “Rocky,” both residents of the Farm district.
A family member, Kady-Ann Smith, described the deceased as diligent and respectable individuals whose deaths have left loved ones and community members in shock.
Police say the violent nature of the killings has unsettled the community, with residents still trying to come to terms with the tragedy.
Superintendent Duncan expressed confidence that investigators will make progress in the case, stating that those responsible are expected to be brought to justice.
