Chef Murdered in St James

Jamaica Crime News, St James: Detectives attached to the Freeport Police Station say they have now commenced a full investigation to uncover the motives surrounding the shooting death of a man, who was killed by gunmen in Montpelier, St. James on Saturday night, February 16.

The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Elijah Anderson, a popular chef of Guinep Lane also in Montpelier, St James.

Reports by the Anchovy police are that about 9:30 p.m., on Saturday, residents living in Montpelier, alerted them after hearing a barrage of gunshot being fired in their community.

The police rushed to the location and upon their arrival, Anderson was discovered lying along the roadway in the vicinity of Express Bar, suffering from gunshot wounds.

The scene was processed and Anderson was rushed to the Cornwall Region Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Anderson is the 15th person to be murdered in the parish of St James since the start of the year.
