Manchester, Jamaica: Car Mart Dealer Shot Dead— In a shocking incident on Wednesday night, car mart dealer Omar Powell was shot dead, and three vehicles were stolen from his home in Land Settlement, Manchester, after he and his family were held at gunpoint.
According to police reports, the tragedy unfolded around 9:45 pm when Powell, his partner, and his 15-year-old daughter were ambushed by four gunmen as they arrived home. The attackers abducted the family, taking them into nearby bushes and tying them up on a bauxite haul road.
While the family was held at gunpoint, their home was ransacked. The gunmen stole three vehicles, including a Mercedes Benz and two Toyota Proboxes, along with an undetermined sum of money.
The attackers killed Powell before fleeing the scene. His partner and daughter were discovered hours later, around 2:00 am on Thursday, and were immediately taken for medical attention.
