Cambridge Bus Operator Caught Transporting Ammunition in St James

Jamaica Crime News, St James: The Cambridge police say they will now be laying criminal charges against a bus operator, who was recently held by members of a military team, transporting several rounds of ammunition from Montego Bay to Cambridge area.
The accused man whose name is being withheld, is said to be a popular bus operator, who drives a Noah bus on the Montego Bay via Cambridge route.
Reports are that during the course of the weekend, a joint military team operating out of Cambridge and Retreat communities, acted upon intelligence received and intercepted a Noah bus being driven by the accused man.
A search was carried out of the vehicle and several dozen rounds of ammunition were discovered hidden in a speaker box in the bus.
The accused businessman driver was taken into custody and when questioned, it is reported that he told the lawmen that he was given the ammunition to drop off to an unidentified person in Cambridge area.
It is also believed that the ammunition shipment was destined to members of the dismantled “Ratty Gang” which have engaged the military in several shooting incidents, in the area over the past week.
