Butcher Shot and Killed: A popular butcher met a tragic end at a slaughterhouse in Linstead, St. Catherine, on Thursday morning.
The deceased, identified as Uriah Bailey from Victoria community, also in Linstead, was fatally shot.
Reports indicate that around 11:45 am, Bailey and two other men were at the slaughterhouse where he worked along Forte Street when two armed men entered the premises. They opened fire, striking him multiple times.
Upon the police’s arrival, Bailey was found lying in a pool of blood inside the yard with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The scene was processed, and Bailey was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
