St Andrew, Jamaica: A businessman was shot and killed on Saturday afternoon on Shortwood Road in St Andrew.
The deceased has been identified as Dean Shaw, the owner of Shortwood Plaza, where the attack took place.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when two men, reportedly wearing hoodies, rode into the complex on a motorcycle and opened fire on Shaw. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, and they are currently gathering evidence and speaking with potential witnesses to determine the motive behind the killing. No arrests have been made at this time.
The community is in shock, as Shaw was well-known in the area for his business ventures and contributions to the local economy.
