Spanish Town, St Catherine – A bus conductor was shot and killed in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Friday morning while loading passengers onto a public passenger vehicle.
The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Loxley Brown, also known as “Country,” of a Spanish Town address.
According to police reports, Brown was along Young Street at approximately 7:45 a.m. when he was ambushed by unknown assailants who opened fire, hitting him in the upper body.
He was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Spanish Town Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) has launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to determine the motive behind the attack.
