Bull Bay Shootout Leaves Alleged Gang Leader and Associate Dead

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — A dramatic police operation in Taylor Land, Bull Bay on Tuesday afternoon ended in a deadly shootout that claimed the lives of Kiman “Kimmy” Foreman, the reputed leader of the Taylor Land gang, and his associate Oshawn “Rifleman” Morrison.

The deadly exchange came as police mounted a targeted mission to find 75-year-old Leslie Roberts of Bito District, who had been reported missing earlier in the day. Investigators believe Roberts was abducted by Foreman and his cronies.

Around 3:30 pm, officers trekking through the steep terrain of Version Gully came under heavy fire from men armed with rifles and handguns. The police returned fire, and when the shooting subsided, both Foreman and Morrison were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

At the scene, police recovered a .303 rifle beside Foreman and a Taurus pistol near Morrison. The men were rushed to Kingston Public Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

A search of the area also uncovered two ballistic vests, a JCF police cap, a silver ‘Rambo’ knife, seven 7.62 rounds, four 12-gauge cartridges, a magazine component, and first aid supplies.

Police say Foreman had been a longtime target, with his gang linked to murders, shootings, robberies, and sexual assaults across Bull Bay. His criminal history stretched back to 2015, and in 2022 he was wanted for assault at common law and illegal possession of firearm in Version Gully.

The shootout has rattled residents of Bull Bay, who remain uneasy as security forces maintain a heavy presence in the community.
