British National Charged: A female British national, Toinette Carew, of Flaming Road in Essex, England, has officially been charged by the police after allegedly being caught at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston with approximately half a pound of cocaine strapped to her body.
Carew, aged 43, has been charged with Dealing in Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Taking Steps Preparatory to Export Cocaine, and Conspiracy to Export Cocaine. She is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court this Thursday, May 30.
Reports indicate that on Friday, May 24, the female British national was in the process of boarding a flight to England when irregularities were detected during her screening at the Norman Manley International Airport.
A search of her person revealed a cylinder-like parcel strapped to her body using clear plastic and grey masking tape. Further investigations confirmed that the parcel contained cocaine, leading to Carew’s arrest.
