Kingston, Jamaica – A deadly shootout in the Rockfort community of Kingston earlier today claimed the lives of five people, including a reputed Don and his son, sources have confirmed.
The violent confrontation is believed to be a targeted reprisal, linked to the murder of a man who was shot and killed at a nearby gas station several weeks ago.
Eyewitnesses describe the area as being in chaos as gunfire erupted, leaving residents in fear. Police units have since cordoned off the area, launching an investigation into what is now one of the deadliest mass shootings in the community in recent times.
While authorities have not officially disclosed the identities of the victims, community members speculate that the killings were retaliatory in nature, deepening concerns over ongoing gang violence in the area.
