The body of a man was recovered from the Rio Minho river in May Pen, Clarendon, on Sunday morning.
The deceased has since been identified as 29-year-old Demar Cole, a resident of Hazard Drive in the May Pen area.
Reports indicate that Cole, who is said to be mentally challenged, was last seen alive at his home on Friday by his mother.
Then, on Sunday around 8:00 AM, residents raised an alarm after spotting the body of a man floating in the river, near the May Pen Bridge.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, the body was retrieved from the water and later confirmed to be Cole.
The body was then transported to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
