The Little London police in Westmoreland are awaiting a post-mortem examination result to determine the cause of death of an elderly farmer whose decomposing body was discovered inside his house in Delphland on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as 71-year-old Winston Robinson, a farmer from Delph Bridge in the Delphland community of Westmoreland.
Reports indicate that Robinson, who lived alone, was last spoken to around 6:30 a.m. last Thursday by one of his daughters.
On Sunday, Robinson did not show up at his daughter’s house for dinner as he normally does, prompting family members to search for him.
His daughter went to his house, found it locked, and forced her way inside, discovering her father’s lifeless body.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, they found the body in an advanced state of decomposition. The body was subsequently removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
