KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 44-year-old barber who was shot at his workplace in Grants Pen, St Andrew, on Sunday has succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Damion Lee, of Oddman Lane, Kingston 8. He died on Monday while receiving treatment at the Kingston Public Hospital.
According to police reports, around 4:05 p.m. on Sunday, Lee was at a barber shop on Shortwood Drive when he was attacked and shot by unknown assailant(s) who later fled the scene. Lee was rushed to the hospital, where he was admitted in serious condition. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he passed away the following day.
The Constant Spring Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the probe into the incident. No motive has been established, and investigators are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
