A man known as ‘Bad Indian’, hailing from the Longwood community in Green Island, Hanover, was shot and injured by armed men in his community on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that around 8:45 am, ‘Bad Indian’ was walking along Campbellton Road when he was ambushed by two men armed with handguns.
The gunmen opened fire, and despite attempts to flee, ‘Bad Indian’ was chased down and shot multiple times.
Police were alerted, and the wounded man was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators suggest that the victim was targeted due to an ongoing conflict between individuals from Salt Spring and Log Wood in the Green Island area.
