Another St. Catherine Taxi Operator Gunned Down

The St. Catherine police are investigating the shooting death of another taxi operator, who was killed by armed men on Thursday morning in Middleton district.

He has been identified as 48-year-old Nigel Mighty of Deeside district in Linstead, St. Catherine.

Reports indicate that around 8:20 a.m., Mighty was operating his taxi in the community when he stopped near Dinthill Technical High School. He was ambushed by armed men who opened fire, hitting him multiple times before escaping the area.

The police were summoned, and upon arrival, found Mighty suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Mighty is the second taxi operator murdered in the parish over the past seven days.
