ANOTHER MURDER IN HOPEWELL HANOVER

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- ANOTHER MURDER IN HOPEWELL HANOVER: The Sandy Bay police in the parish of Hanover have commenced an investigation into the shooting death of a man in the community of Hopewell  on Saturday night.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Jeffery Ottey otherwise called ‘Dangles’ of McQuarrie Drive and Sandy Bay, Mount Pellier.

Reports by the police are that shortly after 6:30 pm on Saturday Ottey was at his mother’s house at McQuarrie District when he received a call from a man.

He reportedly left the house and was walking through a dirt track to meet the person when he was attacked by unknown assailants. Ottey was shot several time to his upper body and left for dead. Family members who heard the explosions rushed to investigate and stumbled upon Ottey who was lying in a pool of blood along the dirt track at Camp Road.

He was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
