Latest Jamaica News (McKoy’s News): Following a release from the People’s National Party camp on Thursday, October 3, Dr Dayton Campbell and Angela-Brown Burke have been officially fired from the opposition council of spokespersons.
The announcement was made on Thursday afternoon by president of the People’s National Party, Dr Peter Phillips.
Brown-Burke and Campbell, who spear headed the campaign for Peter Buntin against Dr peter Phillips, in the recently concluded People’s National Party Presidential election, were shadow minister for local government, and shadow minister for health, respectively.
The opposition leader also relieved Noel Arscott, who was the spokesperson on community development and social transformation, and Ronald Twaites, who was the spokesperson on education, of their positions.
Dr Phillips named a new 19-member shadow cabinet, which has several new faces, during his official announcement on Thursday.
