Ammunition Seized in Portland Police Operation, No Arrests Made

PORTLAND, Jamaica — Law enforcement officers in the parish of Portland have recovered a quantity of ammunition during a targeted operation in the community of Manchioneal.

According to reports, the operation was carried out around 1:20 p.m. on Monday in the Barracks area. During the exercise, police searched an abandoned motor vehicle where they uncovered twelve 12-gauge cartridges hidden within the front bumper.

No one was arrested in relation to the find.

Police say investigations are ongoing as they continue efforts to determine the origin of the ammunition and identify those responsible.
