Jamaica News, April 5, 2018 – Alleged Gang Leader Rooksie James Shot Dead
Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Alleged gang leader and St Andrew businessman Uriel “Rooksie” James is now dead. James was reportedly shot dead along a section of Constant Spring Road on Wednesday night, April 4, following several previous attempts made on his life.
The police have reported that shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, residents reported hearing gunshots coming from a section of the area and alerted them. Upon arrival, the lawmen stumbled upon James body inside his car which was parked along the roadway. The victim had what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds all over his body.
Rooksie James who is said to have been the alleged gang leader of the “Discipline Gang” which operates out of Rose Town, have managed to evade death more than once in recent months.
In late January, James barely escape with his life after he was attacked by two heavily armed gunmen who disguised themselves as construction workers. The businessman was walking towards his car just after alighting from a gym along Lady Musgrave Road when he was attacked by the men.
Three armed security officers who were passing by intervened and managed to apprehend the gunmen.
Two illegal firearms were also seized during the incident.
