ST ANDREW, Jamaica — A man alleged to be the don for the 100 Lane community off Red Hills Road was fatally shot during a reported confrontation with police on Friday morning.
He has been identified as Shaquille Dawkins, otherwise called ‘Dawg Teeth’ or ‘Triple Chain’.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. Details surrounding the shooting remain limited, but the police say Dawkins was killed during a confrontation with law enforcement officers.
In the aftermath of the shooting, a strong police presence has been established in 100 Lane as investigations continue.
