Alkaline transported to CIB Headquarters for More Questioning

Kingston, Jamaica (McN) – Dancehall star Alkaline was on Thursday afternoon transferred to the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) headquarters in Kingston to undergo further questioning in relation to a murder investigation.

Earlan Bartley (Alkaline), reported to the Area 4 police headquarters in Kingston at 9:25 am on Thursday, dressed in a red and black t-shirt, blue jeans pants and a red baseball cap.

Police announced publicly on Tuesday that all efforts to reach the Deejay were unsuccessful. Bartley was ordered to report to the police by Wednesday afternoon for questioning in relation to shooting death of the Rohan Morris, otherwise called “Head.”

28 year-old Morris was shot over 15 times, allegedly near his 5-year-old daughter, by gunmen at his home. It is alleged that he was murdered in relations to ongoing gang war in the Marverley, Kingston area.

Bartley was transferred to the CIB headquarters minutes after 12:00 on Thursday.

The JCF said in a news release on Tuesday that Alkaline is believed to be able to assist with the investigation of the Murder of Rohan Morris.

The popular Dancehall Deejay Alkaline is being represented by popular defense attorney Peter Champagnie.
