St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) — The St Ann police are probing a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 68-year-old woman on Tuesday evening, July 15.
The deceased has been identified as Shirley Phillips, of Port Antonio, Portland.
According to reports, about 7:15 p.m., Phillips was travelling as a passenger in a Honda BR-V along a section of the main road in Priory, St Ann, when the vehicle collided with a truck.
Phillips sustained serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where she was admitted. She later succumbed to her injuries while being treated.
The 23-year-old driver of the truck has since been warned for prosecution as investigations continue.
