4 Men Arrested for Illegal Firearm in St Ann’s

St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – 4 Men Arrested for Illegal Firearm: four men who hail from the parish of St Ann’s were taken into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm which was discovered in a car in which they were travelling on Saturday, February 17.
The police stated that a Taurus 9mm semi-automatic pistol, serial number TF053442 loaded with (10) live 9mm rounds were seized.
Reports are that shortly after 5:00 a.m., on Saturday the St Ann police responded to a radio message that a disturbance had taken place at a party which was being held at a premises in Lime Hall also in St Ann.
The lawmen rushed to the area, and upon reaching a section known as Williamsfield, they intercepted a White Nissan Lodestar motor car registered 5819 7GZ with the four men on board.
Following a search of the vehicle, the illegal weapon was discovered hidden underneath the front passenger seat.
All four men were taken into custody and are now waiting to be charged.
