ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of a woman at her home in Silversun Estate, St Catherine, on Tuesday, August 13.
The accused, identified as Raheem Robinson, also known as ‘Ryan,’ is a resident of Silversun Estate. According to reports from the Spanish Town police, the incident occurred when the woman was in her backyard. Robinson allegedly entered the yard uninvited and forced the woman inside her house, where he then reportedly sexually assaulted her.
Following the attack, the woman made a report to the police, leading to Robinson’s swift arrest and subsequent charge.
Robinson is scheduled to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, September 3, to answer to the charges. The case has garnered significant attention in the community, as residents await the outcome of the upcoming court proceedings.
