Jamaica News: Sections of Manchester and Mandeville were rocked by a 3.2 magnitude earthquake on Saturday, June 16, 2018.
Although there were no reported cases of casualties or serious infrastructure damages, the Earthquake Unit stated that this is an unusual situation and one which must be monitored.
Our news team also learnt that the epicentre of the earthquake was in Nain, St Elizabeth and had a focal depth of 8.8 Kilometres.
Several residents of the parish mentioned that, the earthquake shook on Saturday, shortly after midday and this experience for them was a most frightening.
