Linstead, St Catherine — Police are probing the death of a 27-year-old man who was shot and killed in Linstead town centre yesterday evening.
The victim has been identified as Kamal Taffe, a labourer from Commodore district in the parish.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. while Taffe was at a sports bar and nightclub on Gillette Street. Eyewitnesses say that armed men, wearing masks, entered the venue and opened fire, shooting Taffe multiple times.
Authorities were called to the scene, and upon their arrival, they found Taffe lying on his back with several gunshot wounds. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
No motive has been established for the killing, and the St Catherine police are actively investigating the incident. They are urging anyone with information to come forward.
