WESTMORELAND, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) — A 15-year-old student from the Llandilo School of Special Education is fighting for his life in hospital after being struck by a vehicle on the Sheffield Main Road on Monday.
In a video that quickly went viral on social media, the boy can be seen moving back and forth across the roadway before stepping to one side and then attempting to cross the other lane.
Tragically, he was hit by an oncoming minivan. A local resident rushed him to hospital, where he remains in critical care.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the driver, and investigations into the incident are ongoing. Residents and social media users have expressed shock over the viral footage and called for greater road safety measures in the area.
