KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 12-year-old boy was fatally stabbed with a comb by a 14-year-old girl during an altercation on East Queen Street in downtown Kingston on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased, Omar Collie, was a student of Denham Town High School. The girl, who attends Holy Trinity High School, has been taken into police custody.
The incident occurred sometime after 3:00 p.m., but the circumstances leading to the deadly encounter remain unclear. Police reports indicate that a comb with a sharp end was used as the weapon.
Authorities are continuing investigations into the matter to determine what sparked the confrontation.
