109 ILLEGAL GUNS RECOVERED IN ST JAMES SINCE START OF 2017

St. James, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- 109 ILLEGAL GUNS RECOVERED IN ST JAMES SINCE START OF 2017: The police in St. James has reported that since the start of the year 2017 a total of 109 illegal firearms have been seized in the parish of St. James.

More than fifteen of these illegal weapons have been recovered since the start of September and over ten persons arrested and charged in connection with these seizures.

So far a total of 7 illegal firearms have been seized within the Zone of Special Operations in Mount Salem. Also over the past two weeks 5 illegal firearms have been seized in Cambridge, 1 in downtown Montego Bay, 1 in Hurlock and the latest in Content District.

The police related that the Seize The Guns Operation and the $100 million dollar reward fund placed on illegal firearms seized by Prime Minister Andrew Holiness has been a total success.
