A 10-year-old student lost his life by drowning in a water tank in his community of Chantilly district in Manchester, on Thursday evening February 28.
The dead child has been identified as Alex Brown, also of Chantilly district.
Reports by the Kendal police are that about 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, Alex and a group of children was playing in the vicinity of the community water tank at a construction site in his community when he fell inside the tank.
An alarm was raised but Alex drowned before help could reach him. The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Alex’s body was fished from the tank and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
