Woman Shot-Up! While Driving Past Shootout: Man Found Shot to Death

St James, Jamaica (McN) – Shots fired in Glendevon, St James leaving a mechanic dead and woman in serious condition at the hospital.

A 52 years old mechanic is now dead, and a 42-year-old woman wounded and admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in serious but, stable condition following a shooting incident which occurred along a section of the Glendevon main road on Wednesday night.

The deceased victim, identified as Winston Smith of Mount Edge-Come District, St Ann, who was living in Glendevon, St. James at the time of the shooting.  A 42 years old female custom clerk of Cornwall Courts was also shot and wounded.

Reports are, that about 8:45 pm on Wednesday, January 26, police were on patrol in the Glendevon area when they heard Gunshots. They rushed in the direction of the shots, and upon arrival at a section of the area known as Felicity road they stumbled upon Smith who was lying along the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds.

Driving Past Wrong Place,Wrong Time

The female who was driving past the area at the time of shooting was fired upon by the Gunmen and also received Gunshot wounds.

Both victims were rushed to hospital where Smith was pronounced dead and the female admitted.

Police are investigating, the cause of the shooting.
