Ocho Rios, St. Ann, Jamaica – The Ocho Rios police are currently investigating the fatal shooting of a woman in Breadnut Hill, St. Ann, early this morning. The deceased has been identified as Thelma Brown, a resident of Breadnut Hill in Ocho Rios.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 1:38 a.m. Brown was travelling as a passenger in a Toyota Probox motor car driven by a relative along a roadway in their community.
During their journey, the vehicle came under gunfire from individuals travelling in a Toyota Crown motor car. Tragically, Brown sustained gunshot wounds as a result of the attack.
She was immediately assisted and transported to the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital for medical attention. However, despite efforts to save her life, Thelma Brown was pronounced dead at the medical facility.
The Ocho Rios police have launched an active investigation into this deadly shooting. Authorities are currently pursuing leads and seeking to identify the occupants of the Toyota Crown motor car involved in the incident.
This latest incident will undoubtedly raise concerns within the Ocho Rios community and across St. Ann. The police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist in their investigation to come forward.
