St Catherine, Jamaica: A woman was fatally shot and a 6-year-old boy seriously injured in an attack in Commodore, Linstead, St Catherine, on Friday morning.
The child is now hospitalized and in serious but stable condition.
The identity of the deceased, who is believed to be the mother of a policewoman, has not been released by the authorities. Acting Senior Superintendent Hopeton Nicholson of the St Catherine North Police indicated that the motive for the attack is still under investigation.
The police are searching for two persons of interest, Glendon ‘Bull’ Amos and an individual known as ‘Six’. The investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to determine the circumstances behind the shooting.
