ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The Black River police have launched an investigation into the death of a woman whose body was discovered in a spring in Parottee, St Elizabeth, on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Latoya Pilarchie, a labourer of Hill Top, Parottee.
The incident is currently being treated as a suspected case of drowning.
Reports are that about 2:28 p.m., Pilarchie’s brother discovered her body in the spring and immediately summoned the police.
The police processed the scene, and the body was removed to the morgue pending a post-mortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing.
