ST JAMES, Jamaica — A 24-year-old woman lost her life in a fatal crash on the Lilliput main road in St James early Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Brittany McKenzie, a resident of Rose Mount in the parish.
Reports indicate that the crash occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. McKenzie was a passenger in a BMW motor car traveling towards Montego Bay from the direction of Falmouth when the driver lost control. The vehicle struck a curb wall and overturned near a hotel construction site.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported the injured occupants to the hospital. However, McKenzie’s injuries proved fatal. The conditions of the other passengers remain unknown at this time.
Authorities are continuing their investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
