Old Harbour, St Catherine — Police in St Catherine have launched a manhunt for suspects who reportedly posed as law enforcement officers during a violent home invasion in Marley Mount, Old Harbour, on Monday morning.
Reports indicate that around 4:40 a.m., a group of armed men dressed as police personnel entered a home and opened fire, injuring a woman and a child. The victims were at home when the masked assailants forced their way inside and discharged several rounds.
The woman and child were rushed to hospital, where they were admitted. Their current condition has not been released.
The Old Harbour Criminal Investigations Branch has since initiated a probe into the incident.
