Jamaica News, March 15, 2018 – Death of Westmoreland Man Suicide or Foul Play

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Savanna-la-mar police say they have now commenced a full investigation into the death of a man, whose lifeless body was discovered hanging from the branch of a breadfruit tree in his yard on Sunday, March 11, 2018.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Clinton Mendez, laborer of Strathbogie District also in Westmoreland.

Reports are that early Sunday morning, family members of the deceased made attempts to contact him but he did not answer.  About 8:00 a.m., his father went to his house and made the shocking discovery.

Mendez was discovered in his yard with a portion of his body on the ground and his upper body supported by a piece of wire which was tied around his neck and on the branch of a breadfruit tree.

The police say they have not ruled out foul play and are now conducting their investigations from various angles based on the nature of this latest death.
