Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Westmoreland Gang War Erupts: As gang members continue to trade bullets in the parish of Westmoreland, two more residents have been shot and injured as gang members invaded and shot up a premise in Sav-la-mar.
The police stated that both victims are in serious condition at the hospital.
Reports are that, shortly after 9:00 pm on Monday, a group of men armed with high-powered weapons, entered a section of Dexter Street in Sav-la-mar and open fire on two dwelling houses.
It is further reported that the gunmen made their escape on motorcycles and the Sav-la-mar police were summoned.
Upon arrival in the area, they discovered that two men had been shot. They were rushed to the Sav-la-mar hospital where they were admitted.
Since the start of the year, a number of gang-related violence have erupted in Sav-la-mar which resulted in several houses been burnt to the ground, and several people shot and injured including two students.
