Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Westmoreland Female Killed: Law officers in the parish of Westmoreland are now carrying out investigations surrounding the shooting death of a woman in the parish on Sunday night (November 19, 2017). The gunman, who also shot at the victim’s son, attempted to burn down their family house.
The deceased has been identified as 51-yr-old Pauline Bremmer, unemployed of Revival District also in Westmoreland.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Bremmer and her son were awakened from their sleep by a huge stone which was thrown through their front window. Shortly after, a man armed with a handgun kicked open the front door and confronted the woman and her son who attempted to run to another section of the house. The gunman opened fire hitting Bremmer all over her body but the teenaged boy managed to escape unhurt. While he ran to get help, the gunman lit a section of the house and escaped in the area on foot.
Neighbors came to their assistance and managed to put out the blaze and on the arrival of the police, the wounded woman was rushed to the Savanna-La-mar hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
