WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — A Westmoreland businessman is now missing after being abducted at gunpoint from his place of work early this morning.
The police have confirmed that Gavin Myers, operator of a car mart located in the Darliston town centre, was taken by three heavily armed men shortly after 7:00 a.m.
Reports are that Myers was attending to morning business activities when the gunmen stormed the premises and forcibly removed him from the location. His current whereabouts remain unknown.
Investigators from the Westmoreland Police Division are now actively probing the incident and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
Authorities have yet to determine a motive for the abduction.
